Reinventing the music player

The aim of this project was to explore product interactions concerning intuitiveness and aesthetics by redesigning a new Spotify player.
My contribution
I contributed to the development of the mechanics and crafting of this small device. Since every interaction adds to the overall experience of the device, it was essential to work precisely. I was actively revising every single design quality.
Results
The result was focused on creating close relations with people by sharing a physical music mixtape. Through pushing, rotating and other embodied interactions a playlist could be created and uploaded to an inserted physical mixtape which can be played by other devices. More
My learnings
- I learned to assess product interactions on a mechanical level.
- I realized how aesthetics could be essential in product interactions.
